Marty joined a crowd in Momence (Kankakee County) for lunch recently to introduce himself and talk about why he is running for Congress in the 11th District.
As he sat and ate with the group of more than 40 people, he discussed his issue priorities and took time to listen to theirs. Marty's concerns over the current state of our economy and soaring gas prices were shared by all.
Community members were encouraged by Marty's comprehensive energy plan, which includes both short and long-term solutions for easing the pain at the pump.
As someone who has grown a local family business from 80 to 1,200 employees, Marty also knows what it takes to create and maintain a balanced, common-sense budget. Those business skills are exactly what Congress needs to help grow and strengthen our economy.
